A virtuoso brass ensemble

From Bach to jazz – so special about Stuttgart Consort is the virtuoso performance of original works and delicate arrangements.

The musicians are professionals Consort Stuttgart in southern Germany with a lot of stage and concert experience and all designated soloists on their instruments. In this and other occupations they are carriers of numerous awards and international awards. They also pass on their knowledge of the culture of the South German brass music master classes and workshops.

His partner – Franz Trüster (trumpet), born in German-Bentschek, began as a solo trumpeter at the State Opera Cluj, was later appointed to the State Philharmonic of Cluj.

As a soloist, he regularly plays concerts with organ, as well as with chamber orchestra or Philharmonic Orchestra. With his three wives (two daughters), Franz Tröster lives happily in Karlsruhe and teaches at the music school in Pforzheim trumpet. As a lecturer, he conducts seminars winds, currently playing “the Phantom of the Opera”, since 1990 as the first flugelhorn player in the Cheb musicians.

Classical concert experience with doctorate represents the ensemble Dariusz Mikulski (Horn). During his studies at the Music Academy in Lodz, he won the most important competitions of his profession in Poland, as well as various awards at international competitions in Germany, France and the Czech Republic. Since 1994 he lives in Stuttgart and found after studying in Lodz, Stuttgart and Salzburg also in conducting recognition.

No other trombonist could the strengths of the ensemble Consort Stuttgart better shape than Christof Schmidt. Born in Schwäbisch Hall soloist grew up in Hohenlohe Öhringen. He completed a teaching degree in Heidelberg and then spent several years in England. He studied English at the University of Warwick and trombone at the Guildhall School of Music in London with Professor Eric Crees and Prof. Simon Wills. In 2005 he presented a Performance Diploma (LRSM) in the subjects from trombone and chamber music at the Royal Schools of Music in London.

Dominik Gückel (tuba) was born in Ulm (Baden-Württemberg) in 1984. After he first learned trumpet in the local music club Schnürpflingen, he moved with 14 years on the tuba. He received first Tubaunterricht at Budziat Eberhard and Erwin Rummel in Ulm. In 2008 he won a national prize for Young Musicians in the category Brass Quintet.

Since October 2008, he studied tuba at the Hochschule for Music and Theater in Munich with Prof. Josef Steinböck and Thomas Walsh.
