Luca Torrigiani graduated with highest honors in piano, organ, and organ composition from the Conservatorio “L. Cherubini” in Florence, studying under Fiuzzi and Mochi. He completed his advanced Master’s degree with Daniela De Santis, again with top marks and distinction. He further refined his artistry through international masterclasses with Piernarciso Masi and chamber music studies at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, where he received the Master Diploma with the highest score. His artistic development was also enriched by working with Hector Moreno, Frank Wibaut, and Jörg Demus.
His career began in the 1990s with a prestigious tour in Japan, performing in Gifu, Nagoya, and Tokyo, including a private concert for the Imperial family. In the following years, he focused on chamber music, performing in major concert series in Italy and abroad. Together with clarinetist Davide Bandieri, he founded the Duo Prévert, winner of numerous national and international prizes, including a special mention for the best Brahms performance at the International Chamber Music Competition in Pinerolo (2002).
