Piotr Jurkiewicz

Piotr Jurkiewicz was born 2004 in Sejny. He started to study piano at the age of 6 at the State Primary Music School in Suwałki. 2022 graduated with distinction from the 1st Secondary School with Bilingual Departments. Maria Konopnicka in Suwałki, in a bilingual class with a mathematical profile with extended physics and computer science, and with 2nd degree honors from the State Music School in Suwałki in the piano class of prof. Anna Borkowska.

Piotr Jurkiewicz is second-year student of the Faculty of Instrumental Studies at the Academy of Music. Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz in Łódź in the piano class of prof. Robert Marat.

Achievements include:

3rd place in the 15th Żyrardów Competition for Young Pianists – Żyrardów, 2015,

winner of the 4th Festival Frankiewicz Sisters in Białystok, 2015,

1st place in the 5th International Piano Competition. W. Lutosławski in Zambrów, 2015,

1st place in the 5th International Piano Competition in Augustów, 2016,

1st place in the National Piano Competition “Dancing Piano” in Inowrocław, 2016,

1st place in the International Piano Competition J. Garścia in Stalowa Wola,

2016,

1st place in the International Competition “Gradus ad Parnasum” in Kaunas in the category

piano, 2016,

1st place in the 6th International Piano Competition in Trzciana near Bochnia 2020,

Honorable mention and special prize of the Łódź Association Iuvenales Cantores Lodzienses – Pro Europe in the 7th International Chopin Piano Competition in Turzno, 2023.

Piotr was a scholarship holder of the Omnibus Foundation in Warsaw, the National Children’s Fund, and the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Currently, he is a scholarship holder of the Work of the New Millennium Foundation.
