Stefano Maffizzoni

The flutist Stafano Maffizzoni has made guest appearances in the most renowned concert halls in the world: Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Musikvereinssaal in Vienna, Great Hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Smetana Hall in Prague, Guangdong Xinghai Symphony Hall (China), Concert Hall Bulgaria (Sofia), Herkuleshalle and Gasteig Philharmonic Hall in Munich.

With numerous orchestras we mention, among others, the State of México Symphony Orchestra, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra Mav, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio, the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra Constance, Macedonian Symphony Orchestra, Savaria Symphony Orchestra etc .

As a soloist he has played with the State of México Symphony Orchestra, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra Mav, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio, the Southwest German Philharmonic Constance, the Macedonian Symphony Orchestra and the Savaria Symphony Orchestra, among others.

He gave concerts all over Europe, Switzerland, England, Turkey, Mexico, Russia, China, Canada and the United States and made recordings for renowned radio stations. As a teacher, he holds master classes at various universities in Mexico, at the “Andrès Segovia” Conservatory in Linares, at the British Columbia University in Vancouver, at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, at the Clark College Music Department in Washington State the International Academy of Music in Minsk and in St. Petersburg. He is currently a professor at the chair for flute at the “F. A. Bonporti ”of Riva del Garda.

He has recorded CDs for Eco, Velut Luna, Classic Art and Encore Music International.

He is the creator of the show “Concerto d’Amore in Versi” and the following films: “Maria Callas and Pier Paolo Pasolini: An Impossible Love” with actor Fabio Testi, “L’Orfeo” with actor Andrea Bosca and “Tribute to W .Shakespeare” with actor Giancarlo Giannini.

He is Artistic Director of the International Festival “Homage to Maria Callas” and “MantovaMusica” at the Bibiena Theater.

Since 2017 he has been artistic curator of the Theater of Castiglione delle Stiviere.
