In 1995 he graduated from the Faculty of Singing and Drama at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. He made his stage debut in the same year – in Hanover in the role of Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus. In the years 1995-1996 he was a soloist of the Music Theater in Łódź, and in the years 1996-2004 he sang as a first tenor in the Music Theater – Wrocław Operetta. From 2004 to 2014 he was principal of the music theater in Lublin, where he performed the most important tenor roles of the opera in G. Bizet’s “Carmen”, S. Moniuszko’s “Haunted Manor” or G. Verdi’s “Traviata”. He was also the first tenor in all the operettas of this theater. He gave concerts in many countries in Europe and around the world (including numerous engagements at German theaters in the leading roles: The Gypsy Baron by J. Strauss, The Bartered Bride by B. Smetana, etc.) and several times in the USA and Canada. In 2006 he received a final diploma of postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Economics in Wrocław and the title of Effective Manager of a Modern Enterprise. In 2011 he received the title of theater director. In 2013 he received his doctorate in music arts in the field of singing. From February 2008 he was the authorized representative of the General Director for artistic affairs at the Music Theater in Lublin, in November 2008 thanks to his idea and determination the first major opera production in the history of Lublin took place, it was G. Verdi’s La Traviata in the “Globus” hall, where he also created the role of Alfred Germont. In 2012 he staged and staged the second major opera production of G. Verdi’s Nabucco with great success, which was seen by over 5,000 people at the Globus Hall in Lublin. Viewers. From 2009 to 2013 he was artistic director of the music theater in Lublin. From 2014 he was the artistic director of the Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych, where he became known as the originator, organizer and director of major musical events such as the mega-spectacle Rache der Fledermaus and Zigeunerbaron by J. Strauss and the concert Dwa Żywioły in the Centennial Hall in Wrocław with the participation of Aleksandra Kurzak and organized by Krzysztof Cugowski.
Since 2016 he has been General and Artistic Director of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra. Already in the first artistic season as the head of this institution, he created the Karkonosze Opera Festival, where in the first edition S. Moniuszko’s Haunted Castle was presented with great success in the open-air edition in the Municipal Stadium in Jelenia Góra over two thousand spectators. The show was so popular that in the same year it was repeated in the PGE Turów Arena in Zgorzelec and a year later in the RCS Arena in Lubin. In the second edition of the festival, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra presented the opera Carmen by G. Bizet, in which Tomasz Janczak played the role of Don Jose. He was also responsible for staging and directing.
