Tommaso Benciolini

Tommaso Benciolini, winner of the 2017 New York Respighi Prize, made his debut on the stage at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2018 and is now the protagonist of an intense and passionate career as a soloist and chamber musician. His concert career has taken him to many of the most prestigious venues including Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Golden Hall of Musikverein in Vienna, Novaya Opera in Moscow, Smetana Hall in Prague, Carnegie Hall in New York, Liszt Hall in Budapest, La Fenice Theater in Venice, Beijing University Hall and Guangzhou Opera House in China.

He has worked with many renowned orchestras, including the Chamber Orchestra of New York, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra.

In 2021 his debut CD was released on the renowned SONY Classical label: a world premiere monograph dedicated to Antonio Vivaldi together with the chamber orchestra L’Appassionata he founded and which was unanimously acclaimed by journalists, critics and radio. His recordings have been broadcast by Italian National Radio, Swiss National Radio and Japanese Radio NHK.

In 2022 he will make his debut as a soloist at the Mozarteum in Salzburg in Austria and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and is then expected in Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, France. Tommaso Benciolini is currently Professor of Flute at the Conservatory of Music G.F. Ghedini of Cuneo (Italy).
